OCCUPIERS RAISE THE ROOFS AT CENTENNIAL BUSINESS PARK

Business Homes, one of the UK's premier developers of office units, celebrated the roofs
going on its development at Centennial Business Park in Elstree with two of its anchor
tenants along to witness the progress. The 3.5 acre scheme has already seen Passion Sports
Ltd, the UK distributors for Rocket Dog
a leading casual footwear brand and
Pan Trade, an international trading
and marketing consultancy dealing in
exports of farm machinery, snap up
the first two units during the first stage
of construction.
Passion Sports has purchased
unit nine, 3,043 sq.ft. Pan Trade has
purchased unit 5 and both are eagerly
awaiting practical completion
scheduled for summer 2008. Tony
Greenfield, managing director at
Passion Sports Ltd said, "We were
attracted to the buildings at Centennial
Business Park due to its ideal
Hertfordshire location, closely linked to
London which isn't too far from our previous headquarters in Edgware". Mr Shah managing
director at Pan Trade continued, "In an area where there is a shortage of quality office units, the
Business Homes' development is the only one that suits our requirements perfectly. Also it is
ideally located to the Ml, Al, M25 motorway network. The units at the Centennial Business Park
are not only fitted with impressive state of the art audio and CCTV security system, they also
benefit from a high speed internet connection'.
The 13 building development, which has been launched as a joint venture with locally
based Slough Estates, was chosen by Business Homes to help alleviate the shortage of
freehold commercial space along the Ml corridor. James Weedon, managing director for
Business Homes South explained, "Following the high level of interest, we realised there was a
definite gap in the market for high specification office units in the Hertfordshire area. The speed
at which Pan Trade and Passion Sports Ltd committed to the park and the strong interest in the remaining buildings indicate that the development will be a great success." Centennial Business Park is situated just off junction four of the M1.
Lambert Smith Hampton and Jones Lang LaSalles are marketing the remaining eight buildings with purchase prices starting from £430,000 for 1,324 sq ft and letting prices £21.50 per sq ft.
