| 22.11.06 BUSINESS HOMES SITE FLIES HIGH IN STOKENCHURCH Specialist office developer, Business Homes Ltd, has teamed up with international property specialists, Jones Lang LaSalle to develop ‘The Chilterns’, in Stokenchurch, earmarked as a significant property hot spot for businesses in the region.
Construction teams have been hard at work since August 2006 turning plans for a new Business Homes office scheme in the Chiltern Hills into a reality. Fully aware that the site is located near an area of outstanding natural beauty, all Business Homes’ developments provide high quality accommodation adapted to specific locational requirements.
When complete, the development will provide eight buildings ranging between 2,648 and 6,168 sq ft, all of which will be two-storey and self-contained. They will benefit from having ample car parking facilities as well as 24hr CCTV security and tailor-made telecommunications and connectivity to suit.
The development is one of only a handful in the area that caters for the smaller occupier and gives the choice of being able to buy or rent buildings.
Jonathan Houlston, Development Director at Business Homes Ltd said, “We have found interest in this development to be extremely high. Out of the eight units available, currently three are under offer with strong interest being shown in the other office buildings.”
Director Michael Garvey from commercial property consultants, Stupples said: “We are delighted to be marketing this development. It is particularly good news for the Wycombe District, where, up until now, there has been a shortage of high quality office accommodation aimed at small to medium sized enterprises. Its location will be the key to its success – it offers the best of both worlds; an attractive semi rural environment, but is immediately adjacent to Junction 5 of the M40 Motorway that links London to the West Midlands.
Local amenities in Stokenchurch include a large hotel, restaurants, public houses, and shops. The nearby town of High Wycombe provides a full range of additional amenities, which will be boosted by the development of a new shopping centre due 2008.
Jamie Lamond from GVA Grimley says: “We are delighted to be involved with not only Business Homes, but also this prominent site with its excellent and beautiful location. We are confident that by practical completion in February 2007 only a few buildings will remain given the significant interest shown from both owner occupiers and investors.”
Offices will be available from early 2007.
