| 01.07.07 COMMERCIAL PROPERTY WITH POD ON OUR SIDE Yorkshire Business Insider
Who? Workpods.
Did what? Bought a 4.3-acre site at
Robin Hood Business Park, next to
the airport of the same name in south
Yorkshire. It will build 90,000 sq ft of
office and industrial accommodation.
What does this mean? Peel Holdings,
the omnipresent North West-based property
and transport giant, is doing what
it does best at Robin Hood. They've
dealt with the big issues of making the
airport a genuine competitor in the
region and creating a market and are
happy to handpick partners to build out
chunks of the 62-acre Robin Hood
Business Park - Priority Sites and
Business Homes are already present.
Construction work is due to start on
the 20,000 sq ft first phase, which will
provide self-contained office units (or
Workpods) from 1,400 sq ft upwards.
Matthew Fitton, Peel's business parks
manager, said: "We are extremely
pleased that Workpods have seen the
potential of Robin Hood Business Park and have chosed to invest here. I have no doubt that the small unit office product proposed will find favour with the market."Return to previous page |
