| 08.08.07 VICTORY OFFICES ARE OPEN A £14 million office park near Southampton has been officially
launched by developer Business Homes.
The developer says Victory Park, which has 14 top spec
offices, has already exceeded sales expectations with eight
pre-sold and two more under offer.
Sixty professionals from the regional property industry
gathered for the high-profile launch of the park, off junction
9 of the M27.
The flagship project on the south coast has already generated
employment for nearly 200 people since the diggers
moved in last September.
In the past eight months 360 tonnes of steel have been
installed, 200,000 bricks laid, 10,000 emails exchanged and
75,000 cuppas drunk.
The 14 offices at Whiteley, all two storeys and self-contained,
have enough room for between 320 to 600 people,
with 209 parking spaces.
Business Homes chairman Simon Houlston paid tribute
the 172 construction workers and a ten-strong management
team.
He said: "The aptly named Victory Park has been an overwhelming
success, and I'd like to thank all those involved
making this top-of-the-range office park a reality.
"In the winter the site resembled Glastonbury, with all
that rain and so much mud.
"Despite these inclement conditions, the construction
gangs kept up their spirits and I take my hat off to them for
staying on track."
Beals, a regional estate agency, was the first owner occupier
in, paying just over film for the freehold of unit one.
