Firm demand for offices, which
led to the construction starting
on a further phase of Cala
Properties' Almondvale Business
Park, has shortened the
development process for further
building there. Cala plans to
expand the park by a further
15,613 sq.metres (168,000 sq.ft.)
in four buildings in the centre of
Livingston, where a 46,468
sq.metres (500,000 sq.ft.) retail
expansion is planned. The town
centre location is a definite
advantage in the current office
market where out-of-town
locations have been slow in the
past few years. Cala is also
jointly developing the New
Houston Business Park with
Business Homes (BH) in
Livingston. BH said that before
construction, contracts were
exchanged on 4 of the planned
10 buildings
Brian Robinson of BH said that
the initial success means it will
start on all 10 buildings. As is
usual with BH, the offices are for sale at £1,721 a sq. metre (£160 a sq. ft.) or for rent at £172.60 a sq. metre (£16 a sq.ft.).Return to previous page |
