| 14.12.07 FIRST OCCUPIER FOR SMALL BUSINESS UNITS A new office development on Birmingham Business Park is celebrating the completion of its first phase of small business units by welcoming the first occupier.
Miller Homes has moved into one of the Business Homes Midlands' 2,154sq ft units on a 10-year lease. Close on its heels is National Business, the scheme's second tenant, which has also completed on its 4,168sq ft unit and plans to be operational before the end of the year.
Only one unit remains on the market, with flexible letting options ranging in size from 1,500sq ft to 6,168sq ft in the last three units.
Business Homes Midlands, a joint venture between Hortons' Estate and Business Homes, began construction on the 3.52 acre site in March this year and has developed 12 units at the park. Each building, which is fully DDA compliant, benefits from its own entrance, designated car parking spaces and state of the art audio and CCTV security systems.
Rob Blythe, chief executive of Hortons' Estate says: "Not only have we secured a well- known brand name as the anchor tenant but the unprecendented levels of interest for this second West Midlands scheme has seen all but one of the 12 units sold."
Completion of Phase two is scheduled towards the end of January, with nine units coming on to the market. Demand for freehold offices remain high, according to Mr Blyth, and Business HOmes Midlands is looking for more land developemnt oppotunities close to the M42, M5, M6 and M40 motorway network. Property agents GVA Grimley and King Sturge are marketing the site.Return to previous page |
