| 01.01.08 AROUND THE MIDLANDS- BIRMINGHAM OFFICES 2007 saw an improvement in take- up for the Birmingham city centre office market of almost 12% on 2006, with 2008 looking set to provide some bumper deals to raise the uptake further.
As well as the demand for leasehold accommodation, it is also worth
noting the strong current demand for owner-occupier freehold units throughout the city. For example, Business Homes' development at Birmingham
Business Park has proven to be a huge success, with the majority of the units sold or under offer. This demand extends from the suburbs into the city itself
with a number of freehold schemes within locations such as Edgbaston and
the Jewellery Quarter on the market and offering smaller occupiers and
businesses the opportunity to not only purchase their own office, but also to provide them with an investemnt for the futire.
Confidence is high for the 2008 office market which bodes well for the continued transformation of Birmingham.Return to previous page |
